FIRE BASED EMS IS BEING LOOKED AT FOR THE CITY OF FRANKLIN. THE CURRENT ORGANIZATION [JEMS] THAT PROVIDES EMS TO FRANKLIN HAS STATED THAT AN ADDITIONAL LEVY IS NEEDED TO CONTINUE TO OPERATE 3.04 MILLS.

FRANKLIN COUNCIL ASKED THE CITY MANAGER IN OCTOBER 2011 TO COME BACK WITH THREE OPTIONS OF PROVIDING EMS TO THE FRANKLIN COMMUNITY. THE CITY MANAGER GAVE HIS PROPOSAL IN FEBRUARY 2012. BELOW ARE THE OPTIONS.

OPTION 1 – KEEP THE CURRENT SYSTEM [JEMS]
OPTION 2 – PRIVATIZE WITH A DIFFERENT OUTSIDE ORGANIZATION
OPTION 3 – FIRE BASED EMS [KEEPING IT IN FRANKLIN WITH YOUR CURRENT FIREFIGHTERS].

The Annual Easter Egg Hunt at Community Park will be this Saturday starting at 1130am. Come and have a great time.

If you have friends or family that live in the Sycamore Twp area the trustees are making changes to that community that are putting people lives at stake. The trustees are going to privatize EMS and Fire due to Local govement funding cuts, estate tax cuts and other funding cuts. The firefighters have offered concessions but the trustees wont talk.
